I was watching Pretty in Pink today as I was folding laundry (I loathe folding laundry, so I have to watch something to keep me from stabbing my eyes out) and Sam was in the room playing cars. Luckily, he didn't notice all the sh-bombs (note to self: stick with Little House on the Prairie from now on), but he did notice her dog in the film (I think he was on screen twice):
Sam - That's a nice doggie. I sure wish I could have a nice doggie like that someday. I would name him J.J.
Me - Oh, I don't know bud, Mommy and Daddy don't think we really want a doggie. They're a lot of hard work.
Sam - How about two kitties?
Me- Kitties make Mommy sneeze and itchy.
Sam - How about a blue one?

I loved Pretty in Pink! It was one of those dreamy movies that made me wish I was Molly Ringwald. You're right about the language...kind of ruins it a bit.
A blue kitty would be so great and certainly allergy free, right? I'm mean, it would have to be...it'd be blue!
out of the mouths of Babes. That you for your post on my blog. We will so take up up on the offer to stay there to break up the trip. We are debating wheather to Fly or drive, we would have to rent a car regaurdless, but.. flying would be better on the baby, just a lot of things to take..
I do love a good Hairless Blue Calico.
That is hilarious! I HATE folding laundry too, I currently have 3 baskets sitting in my front room. I just took some advice from your blog and I put Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants on and put Calvy in the play room with some toys. I have currently watched the movie for 20 minutes and not folded one single bit of clothing. Now Alan is home...maybe tomorrow. :)
Aww not even a blue one? But the blue ones are the best!
Happy late birthday to Noelle!
