Incoming and Outgoing

Yesterday was a big day in the Woolner household. Chad took the training wheels off Sam's bike and took him to the school (6 houses away) to teach him the art of bike riding sans wheels. Sam had it down before they even got to the school. That's my boy!

Feets of Strength

Yesterday, Ruby was a walking machine. Today . . . she didn't care so much. Here she is yesterday toward the end of the day (a little fatigued, but you get the gist).

Swimsuit Edition

The pool is open for business! Just wish the weather would cooperate.

My kids are hams. I wonder where they get that from?

Water wings are the BEST investment ever. My kids are completely independent in the pool now. Don't freak out, we're still there watching and I have to say, Noelle is a natural-born swimmer. She is so fearless, she just jumps right in and makes her legs keep up.

Delicious Hot Schmoes

Chad came home Friday evening and decided we should roast mallows and camp in the yard. Finally, some nice weather. I couldn't help calling the s'mores "delicious, hot schmoes" thanks to Buzz Lightyear. It's just comedy.

Some serious waiting going on.

Sam has been in to taking pictures. He took this one of Noelle and me. Kinda artistic, don'tcha think?

Enjoying schmoes. Chad makes them with melted Reese's Peanut Butter Cups inside. I highly recommend.

"Then you roast the mallow."

Look at this bad boy. Perfection. And I mean both the marshmallow and the man.

Tastey morsels.

Why I Hate Camping--No Matter Where It Is

So camping outside meant starting off there and then coming in about 10:30pm to finish a movie you started outside because the computer ran out of batteries so you needed a plug-in and then falling asleep around midnight only to wake up two and half hours later because you're cold and then waking up at 7am . . . exhausted.

I Love to Build the Temple

Sam's new favorite quiet-time pastime is to build Lego temples in his room. He will emerge with several creations and names them appropriately ("This is the Salt Lake temple, this is the San Diego temple . . . "). I'm telling ya, he has a heart of gold in there.

Ham and Cheese

What had originally begun as a snapshot to celebrate Ruby's pigtails turned in to a typical Ruby photo shoot--she can't help but ham it up for the camera. She knows it makes me laugh, too. Ham and cheese anyone?
