This is a picture of my mom, with my oldest brother, Nasson, circa 1974. I didn't feel like using a picture of myself. I liked this one better.Anyway, woke up today. Mother's Day. Chad was sick. Too sick to move. I got up, got myself and the kids ready for 9am Church. Wrestled with them during Sacrament meeting, took them potty 4 times during said meeting, missed the "gift" they give to moms because I was wiping bums in the bathroom. Went to my meetings, chased the kids down the halls and back into the car after Church. Fed them lunch. Put them down for naps. Made a potato salad for dinner while they were napping. Bathed them. Took them to a friend's house who invited us over for a birthday dinner. Took them potty 4 times during said visit. More poo. Made sure they both ate properly, played nice, cleaned up after themselves. Wrestled them back in the van. Got them home, brushed and flossed teeth. Said prayers. Read books. Sang songs. Got my hubby in bed too. More poo from Noelle. Changed her. Found her puppy doll. Re-tucked her in. The time is 10:50 pm. Now, if that is not a picture of what a TRUE mom does on Mother's Day, I don't know what is. Am I bummed I wasn't pampered and spoiled all day? Absolutely not. I have two beautiful babies, another one on the way, a husband who works relentlessly so I can stay home. I get to be a mom. What more could I want? Happy Mother's Day!
