My Peeps

I'm a little behind on posting, as evidenced by the following Easter posts.
Noelle's Easter outfit. I LOVE that it actually had sleeves. I didn't have time to get her or Sam in a cute pose, we have 8:30am church and by the time they get back home, they're wearing about half of what they originally had on.

Sam is clearly enjoying the "Follow the Prophets" book the Easter Bunny left for him. His tie is my favorite. It's navy blue with green polka dots. I sent him and Chad out to The Children's Place to pick up a fun Easter tie and he came back with that little baby. I would have probably ruled out in less than a second. I like color and pizazz. When they brought it home I was like, "Really? What was the motivation behind the purchase of this particular tie?" Chad responded that Sam was adamant about that tie. "Polka dots, Mommy. Polka dots." Said Sam. Consequently, I am now in the market for some fun polka dot fabric to make Sam's comforter out of. I'm having a really hard time finding anything fun that doesn't look babyish. If you see any, drop me a line. I need to make him a blanket stat.

Nothing To Bawk At

Easter wouldn't be complete without the annual dyeing of the eggs. We prefer to color Greek style. Call it "gymodyeing". Not only is it sophisticated, but saves on laundry and cleanup as well.

Eggs Mark the Spot

The Ward Easter Egg Hunt. Although that's a bit of a misnomer. The eggs where everywhere and in plain sight. The Ward Easter Egg Horde would have been more fitting. Hey, as long as there's candy inside, no one cares.

Sam will do ANYTHING for candy. Including sharing.

Finally Forever

On March 28th, 2009 at 9am, in the Boise Idaho Temple, the Lord blessed our family with another sweet, eternal member--our Noelle Joy. Our first forever family photo. That's good alliteration.

Noelle was coming down with a terrible fever and flu that hit the rest of us a few days later. But nothing was going to stop us from making her ours forever that day.

Sam and Noelle started hugging and holding hands spontaneously. We tried to get a good shot, but we weren't fast enough.
Noelle was giving everyone hugs and kisses over and over (more than usual) for the next few days. She was very aware of what this special day meant for her and for us.
Daddy's girl for all eternity. We love you Torrie!

Boys Will Be Boys, But Will They Be Like Sam?

Today we had Easter dinner at a friend's home. We were talking in the kitchen and I heard the front door open. I looked just in time to see Sam coming inside the house, pulling his pants up. Hmm? I helped him pull his pants up and opened the front door to assess what happened. Yep, he peed on their front porch.
Then, yesterday he came out of the bathtub covering his "privates". "It's hiding," He tells me. I thought maybe he had a toy hiding in his hands like a magician (it's his new favorite game to play). "What's hiding?" I ask. "Surprise!!!!" Sam reveals his private part. That's our Sam.

Cruise-a Palooza

In mid-March, Chad and I took a cruise with our BFFs, the Higgies, to Grand Cayman Islands and Jamaica. Below are highlights. A picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll keep the commentary short. . . you're welcome. Enjoy the pure zanyness and awesomeness of our presence in paradise.

The group. Don't be jealous that we were partying in the Carribbean all week.
Our Baywatch shot. Love the faces. Love the poses. Love the hair frowed by saltwater and sunshine.

Stingray City, Grand Cayman. That is a stingray next to Chad and that is me with my legs locked around Chad's middle.

Dunn's Falls, Jamaica. We hiked up the entire waterfall.

Chad jammin with local Jamaicans. "Welcome to Jamaica. Be happy."

Me and Bobby. And chocolate cake.

Posing for the cover of a dimestore novel. Fabio, eat your heart out.

Figure skating champs of the Royal Carribbean cruise line. Thank you very much.

Ixtapa lounge dancers. Seriously. We were the only ones dancing and everyone else watched us. Enjoy your booze, boring people. We're gonna dance.

It's a golf off.

Rock wall. On a cruise ship. The Quest (aka "satan's show"). When the game got racey, we opted for riding up and down the glass elevators, on our backs, with the 7 year olds.

Chad's favorite game. Dillon laughing his pants off.

So Mr. Towel Dog, what's on the Cruise Compass for tomorrow?
