Sam LOVES his little friend in the mirror. I just tell him to give his friend a kiss and he does it willingly. He's a lover, not a fighter. That's my boy. Please to excuse the huge mound of dirty laundry in the background.

Our new-found horse whisperer friend, Rob, invited us over to let Sam ride his ultra-gentle horse, Golden. Sam LOVED the horse right away. He had the best time. Anytime he sees a horse, whether picture or puppet he starts smiling and kicking. The real deal was even better. Oh, and don't worry. In the pictures where it looks like Sam is riding solo, Dad is on the other side holding him up (we photo-shopped out the legs).
We decided to dress up as Cowfolk this Halloween. Here we all are at the Western States Chiropractic College Halloween party. It was "spooktacular". Actually, it was OK, but any excuse to get all dudded up.
They had a costume contest for the kiddies. Most of the costumes were store bought (Doesn't anyone make their own any more? That's half the fun people!). Sam's is a combination of things we had around the house and the vest is courtesy of Brandon Rhodes. We did some last minute scrambling because our original thought--Charlie Brown--could not be done. We could not find a plain yellow shirt anywhere. Sam got second place. He was robbed of his Toys R Us Gift card. The winner was a store bought Yoda--please.
When Linus from Charlie Brown spoke of the "Great Pumpkin" . . . he meant us. Here we all are at Sauvie's Island. We went on a bumpy hayride, found our future jack-o-lanterns (mine's an albino I like to call "Caspar") and enjoyed good ol' on the farm fresh fun.
