Sam's Baptism Weekend

Sam's birth mother and her ridiculously good-looking family came to visit for his baptism.  As an extra bonus, it snowed enough on the Friday they were here to warrant a snow day at school.  We took the sleds to the park behind our house and made the most of it.  Here's some pictures of their visit in random order:

Sam and Brady getting along some more :)

Getting along with Griffy too.

Pancakes!

Sledding is serious business.

Poor little guy had to borrow Ruby's old jacket.

My little Katniss Everdeen.

The makers of that hat should pay her for making it look so good.

Sam's birthday gift was my old Castle Lego Set.  I had all the pieces and the instructions still.  It took Mattie and I a couple hours to put together.  Then Sam tried to move it carefully and it fell apart.  He was devastated.  So, I was kind of on a mission after that to finish it again as soon as possible.   I could not stop.  See subsequent picture for further proof.

If I was cooler, I would post the next six pictures that were taken a few seconds from this one.  Griffin was not happy someone else was on mom's lap...he made sure he was the only one.

Love you both!

My favorite hat and jacket of Sam's.  Did my heart good to see them on Brady.

When Sam was placed with us, I remember thinking that we would see his birth family again when he was baptized.  It seemed like a long way off.  I can't believe how fast eight years came and went.  Hold on to your babies; they don't stay that way for long.
