My camera is "tot" (that's the German word for dead--impress your friends). This may be the last picts for a little while. Sam's preschool had a field trip to the pumpkin patch. I love the pumpkin patch, but not on this particular day. I hate that I hated it. But it was so hard. Three kids. A hungry baby. Rain. Mud. Cold. Busted camera. A 2-year old who had to go potty at every turn. Kids running around everywhere. Pandemonium. I was exhausted before we even got there (partly due to low levels of thyroid hormone, wrestling to get all four of us ready in time, planning and packing for every incidental like rain, mud, pee and hunger). It was a hard mom day. And then my camera busted RIGHT on the wagon ride and I didn't even get a picture of the actual patch. I am such a whiner. Tell me your hard mom days; so I can feel better. If you don't have one, make one up.

Look on the bright side--now you have a good excuse to ask Santa to bring you swanky new camera for Christmas. Or you could get a fancy phone with a cool built-in quality camera.
Bad mom days.
They happen.
That's so sweet of Sam to help Noelle get her turn! I love it when my kids are friends.
I don't love it when my kids drive me crazy. Which seems to be happening daily lately. Ryken wants to be held constantly. My options are to listen to him cry or hold him. Listening to him cry makes ME cranky and holding him makes it difficult to take care of the other 3 kids or get anything done.
Being a mommy is hard!
I love that Sam is so kind to his sisters! That was such a cute little story. I love fall and all the fun things that come with it. Sorry it was such a hard mom day! I hope it gets easier and you get another camera soon.
The kids looked like they had fun at least :) To tell you the truth... Wal-Mart... that store brings the worse out of my kids and every time we get back in the car I'm always saying, "I'm never taking you guys to the store again!" LOL.... those are my not so fun mommy times :)
Okay if you really want one. Once when I was like 8 months preggo I had to take my car in to the dealer to get fixed so I loaded everyone up (4 kids into car seats) and went, it took forever to fill out the paperwork for the rental, Henry unbuckled and sat on top of his brother Jake who was screaming, the guy helping me obviously had no kids and was not amused by mine then he just sat and watched me and my big prego belly switch out all those car seats from my car to the rental and try to keep track of my kids so they didn't get run over while I was doing it. When I finally got it done and got them all strapped in Henry who was just potty trained announced he had to go. The thought of unbuckling them all and hauling them into the dealership was too much so I took out one of his younger brothers diapers put it on him and told him if he couldn't hold it to go in the diaper. I was really proud of myself for that genius move. But, that really was an exhausting mom day. Not to mention I had to return the rental that night and do the same thing over!!!
Oh, and there was a day where I brought my very sick daughter home after she had been in the hospital for a week and we weren't sure if she was going to be okay and after being home for a couple of hours I had to go back to the hospital and give birth to baby #5. I think that day was the "mother" of all days!
I totally admire that you even thought about going on the field trip. You've been through a lot lately and I can't even imagine how exhausted you must be! So yay you! Hang in there and have a nap! I always feel better after a nap.
Hey Amber, I hear you on the Mom days! The other day I went to Costco with 5 children. Enough said!
I also want to send you our prayers - I wasn't aware of your cancer diagnosis until today.
Your little Ruby is SO incredibly darling! I'm so excited for you and your upcoming sealing. Congratulations!
