These all happened at or around Halloween. I'm too lazy to put them in order.
I was in charge of Sam's class Halloween party. Seriously, it was just nice to see him be all brotherly to his little sister.
The costume parade at school. She refused to wear her witches hat. I don't think it matters. You get candy either way, right?
My beautiful bumblebee. Her costume has been "loved" for the past year.
Witch out!
Originally, all the kids (and Chad and I) were going to be Power Rangers, but it was nearly impossible to find any of the other color costumes for under $40 each. For one day?! I'm way too much of a cheapskate. And, I give up on making them. It's almost just as expensive and then I'm cranky because the laundry still needs washing.
Ready.
Our neighborhood is so awesome, even the cars dress up.
Trunk or Treat.
My favorite costumes of the year was a family in our ward who all dressed up from Adventure Time--Princess Bubblegum, the Ice King, Finn and Jake the dog. I was jealous of their awesomeness.
Sam's class had "Not So Scary Skits" they performed on Halloween.
Sam was the pumpkin scarecrow.
Part of a service scavenger hunt we participated in.
Ruby's spider.
She loves Halloween stuff. She had a melt-down when we left behind a creepy phone that says things like, "I'll meet you in the graveyard. Mwhahahahaha" at Target.
We won the service scavenger hunt because that's what we Woolners do. Win things.
Our annual pumpkin carving pizza party.
I want to adopt this kid. He's our friends' neighbor and all he did all night was be super polite and help out the younger kids.
And our dryer died. RIP dryer. Ruby is modeling for our new one. It sings me music when the laundry is dry.
My 5 minute costume for Sam's party.
Our annual Haunted World date night.
One part of our service scavenger hunt. We put nice notes on random cars, gave strangers high fives, raked neighbor's leaves, hugged veterans, donated food and clothing, doorbell ditched treats, etc.
Free high fives if you're awesome.
