In June, a neighbor friend offered up free cherries from her tree that were just ripe for the pickin'. I am not one to turn down free produce. Free produce is my kryptonite (just ask me about the 20 lbs of free apples I just sauced up this week). Also, anything that involves my children putting in a good couple hours of labor is my Achilles heel.
