After a prior unsuccessful attempt, we realized Noelle had never even rode a bike with training wheels. So, we bought her some and let her ride around for a couple seasons. This past summer, I might have locked us out of the house and while we were waiting for the back up key to arrive, I decided we might as well be productive. Off came the trainers and off went Noelle.
For the Fourth of July we spent the day at the water slide park with friends. I made ice cream (Nutella gelato to be exact) and the kids and Chad went to our friend's home for fireworks that night. "Where are the rest of the pictures?" You ask. I had not slept for three days by this time. THREE days. Zero minutes and zero hours of anything resembling slumber. Sadly, this is it for summer pictures. I had surgery in August and went to a few doctors and tried a few meds and a few combos of meds and I slept a little here, a little there, but it is now end of November and I am almost sleeping again. And that's the truth. And maybe one day I will look back on those sleepless 7 months and laugh and say to myself, "Self, you were on the verge of a mental institution and possibly a stroke or heart attack. And remember when you got off those one meds and you were angry at everyone for everything? Them were the days." And might chuckle and smile to myself. But I really don't think so.
