A Very Disney Family Vacation - Part 1

This year we saved every last penny, and even though I still need one more surgery to correct the scar from my thyroidectomy three years ago, we decided we were sick to death of surgeries and boycotted them this year.  We needed a family vacation and we needed a good one.  And that can only mean one thing.  Yes, my friends, that means The Happiest Place On Earth.

Sam could have stopped with the Lego store in Downtown Disney and been a happy camper.

Dancing in the streets.

Halloween decorations were up and, let me tell you, they were amazing.

Grandma and Papa Woolner came for the first two days.  It was double the magic!  And handy for those many many many many many many many bathroom breaks we had to take throughout the day.

The Cheesiest.

Our first ride was Peter Pan's Flight.  It actually broke down while we were in line and we had to wait an extra 15 minutes.  We thought it was a bad omen, but this was actually the longest we waited in line the entire trip.  Not too shabby.

Ruby being a grumpus marumpus.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride holds fond memories for me.  I rode this with my brother when I was five and welaughed our heads off.  Why?  Don't ask me.  We were always laughing.  Nowadays, they won't let five year-olds ride alone with seven year-olds.  Lame.

The Matterhorn was open!  It only took 12 years for me to go there and it actually be open.

Could they get any cuter?  The answer is "no".

Ruby was too small for many rides.  I actually had a blast going on the kiddie rides with her.  Some I hadn't been on since childhood and others I hadn't been on at all.  Here she is with Tigger.

Splash Mt.

Even the cups are magical!

Star Tours.  Noelle was the Rebel Spy.  Chad was uber jealous.

My favorite ride.  It was all spooked out for Halloween though.  You can't even see Sam hiding behind Chad.  He was ducking down the entire time.  When I asked Noelle what she thought, she announced, "I closed my eyes the whole time."  And then she cried all the way home.  Another Disneyland success story.

Hey look! You turn a corner and it's a parade!

Has to get the same thing as daddy.

Papa and Grandma treating us to breakfast.

Chad's and my favorite ride.

The main carousel in Disneyland was closed for repair.  Weird, right?  So we settled for King Triton's in California Adventure.

Ruby meeting her favorite person...err...mouse.

Taking a lunch break.

Our first time in Car's Land!
