On January 24th, Noelle turned 4-years old. Forgive me as I wax nostalgic, but I couldn't help remembering the day she was born. It was torture! She was born in the late afternoon and I knew we wouldn't be able to get so see her until placement two days later. Luckily, her birth aunt emailed us a picture (it was around 10pm--I remember because I checked my email every 3 minutes that day). She was the most beautiful baby and the first time I held her I smelled her (oh yes, I did) and she smelled THE BEST! Little did I know it was her sweet soul coming through. My heart is full of gratitude to her birth mother and also to her birth aunt. We have a had a scary past few days with Noelle's health (which I why I am late posting these pictures) and I could not imagine my life without this girl.
Honestly, Noelle is the sweetest child imaginable. Always patient, always kind, always forgiving and loving and wonderful. What kind of cake did she want for her birthday? A family cake. I was like, don't you want a princess cake? Rapunzel cake? Hello Kitty cake? True her to nature and sweetness, Noelle asked for a family cake. Luckily, you can take a picture to the local baker and they can put it on your cake (you did not want to see my stick figure skills in that department). Oh Noelle, you are wonderful.

That's the sweetest thing, a family cake! What a littel angel. No doubt her presence in your home has made life so sweet, what a blessing :). Hope she is doing better. Happy Birthday sweetie :)
