Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider Woman Needs Your Help

I'm about to go radioactive and I need your help. I have to go on a no-iodine diet for about two weeks before I GET TO have my radiation therapy. Basically I swallow a pill, stay away from everyone for a few days, sleep on plastic and flush the toilet three times every time I go and maybe vomit a little. I am having a hard time finding food that I want to eat or can eat and I'm hoping YOU might have a recipe or two for me. I figure, if each reader just sends me one recipe that may fit the bill, I'll have a plethora, Heffe. Here's the low-down:
No
Iodized salt, anything from the sea, anything pre-processed, dairy (milk, cheese, butter/margarine, etc), egg yolk, soy, chocolate, beans (red, navy, lima, pinto), potato skins, rice, processed meats or lunch meat, spinach or broccoli, tomato sauce, dressings, condiments, candy.
Yes
Nut milk, egg white, cocoa powder, inside of a potato, basmati rice, sugar, jelly, fresh fruit and juice, vegetables, unsalted nuts and unsalted nut butter, maple syrup, herbs, vegie oils/olive oil, air popped popcorn, oats, vinegar, and small portions of fresh meats, grains, & pasta.

I think I'm set for breakfast recipes, but I need lunch, dinner and snack ideas. Operators are standing by.

Chalk?
Just Kidding...poor thing.
How about popcorn with chocolate sauce. Sounds weird but SO good. You can make the sauce with the oil, cocoa powder and sugar and you might add some nut milk to help mix it up.
Apples with nut butter is GREAT!
pasta with herbs and oil.

This may be too late....but I hope all went/goes well. :)

Well this is hard for me because I am not allowed to have everything you are and visa versa (sp), but one thing we have in common is no dressings, so I have a good recipe or a something that I have put together in my mind...haha. Olive oil, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic and chopped cilantro. Ooh, yum. I would do some cubed potatoes with some olive oil, parsley and rosemary and roast them in the oven, and then do some chicken with the no sodium seasoning from Walmert...not too sure if you can have that...and throw it on the forman. Toss a salad with some feta and your home made dressing.

Snacks I do LOTS of nuts, like raw almonds, and for a sweet treat I throw some berries on a cookie sheet and cover them with plastic wrap and freeze them, then either blend them together with some stevia or just eat them whole, blueberries are my fav.

Being forced on a non-fun diet is so non-fun. :0) Hope this helps. Hang in there.

So, I don't have any recipes, but I found this website that had a whole cookbook especially for your situation. It's http://www.thyca.org/rai.htm

I looked at a few recipes and it looks pretty good. Good luck. It's no fun to have to eat a certain way. For me, it only made me crave what I knew I couldn't have. You are amazing. I hope you are doing OK. We are thinking and praying for you.
