What's Taters Precious?

All right. Y'all might be sick of my blog posting with no pictures. But here's one more, for ole time's sake (and in case you were wondering how I was faring).

I'm feeling a little like Gollum today. Let me expound:
1. The obvious is the hacking and Gollum-like noise coming from my throat.
2. Having aftershocks of the anesthesia going in. Holy mackerel, that burned like a mother. I remember writhing in pain and may even have said, "It burns us."
3. There has been some crawling around today.
4. My skin color looks a little like I've been living in a cold, wet, underground cavern for a while.
5. I could go for some raw fish (sushi) right now.
6. I have been missing "my precious" which is the body part that I would like to have back right now if it wasn't tainted with cancer.

Amber, I have been meaning to write something to you and don't know what. I think you and me have something in common. Maybe not a good "in common" but we do! After my first daughter was born I was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma (bone cancer) and underwent a year of hard core chemo treatments and 6 full weeks of exhausting radiation. The thing that kept me positive and upbeat was my beautiful baby, that I had to care for and love. As hard as it was at the time, I wouldn't take it back! I know you're one tough cookie, so hang in there. Heavenly Father has truly blessed you and will continue to do so. I hope you feel better soon! If you're up for it, we should go out for some frozen yogurt!

everyone in this neck (bad pun, sorry) of the woods is thinking of you. And thanks for all of the Gollum images...don't you know I am terrified of him?

And yet somehow you have managed to keep your sense of humor? I am truly amazed. :)

Happy healing to you . . . I'm thinking happy-pink-skin thoughts for you.

Amber you are awesome! You are who I would love to be in so many ways! I was in a situation today and after all was said and done I thought to myself, "I wonder how Amber would have reacted in this situation?" You are such a great example on so many levels!!!

I'm sure you feel like, well for lack of a better word right now, crap...but you continue to see humor and wear a smile the best you can. I love it, thanks for being you!!

I like this post for many reasons:
1. I love your humor and B. Gollum was Alan's nickname for me while we were dating and early on in our marriage. He said it was because that is what my cousin was calling me, but I don't recall that.

Hoping you keep your spirits high!
