Sicktober is Sickgusting

Uhhhhgh. For 5 days I've been taking care of the house and kids since Chad has been really bad and in bed. Yesterday we broke down and sent him to an urgent care clinic without insurance (ours is in the review process). The antibiotics helped right away--and just in time for my next phase. Stomach flu. I was up all night on the toilet with a bucket on my lap for the other end. What's worse, my throat is still incredibly, unbearably sore but I couldn't take meds for it since I would just vomit it all out anyway. I literally thought I would keep vomitting until I died. And, to be honest, part of me wanted to die. I cried all night, but it sounded like a frog drowning because my voice is raw and raspy. Now the kids are standing outside my door crying because they "want to snuggle mommy". I told Sam he would get sick if he got too close. His response (through tears), "I want to be sick with you."

That is probably the sweetest thing I have heard a kid say.

:( Sorry you are sick, but I'm glad you are still alive (at least for now). I was beginning to wonder if Idaho had swallowed you all up.

Oh I hope you guys can get better soon.
I threw up once last week and I hate doing it so much. I can't imagine never ending with a bucket.
WE will be thinking of you guys.
What a sweet SAM comment.

Sam! That was nice.
A bucket for the other end. You disgust me.

Sam is an angel baby!

I wish we could you bring soup and some kind of miracle cure. This thing sounds nasty!

We love you guys!

Hope you guys are better soon. A sick husband is the worst!! :)
Hey, we got Cali's kitchen at Costco. Great price, great quality and super cute. It took Andy about 3 hours to put it together, but it was well worth it! Especially since HE put it together while I slept on the couch... totally worth it!!
