For real. I thought some people would like an update after surgery. The doctor gave me this shot that puts me into menopause. He's planning on keeping me that way for 6 months to give my ovaries a break. Isn't that nice? So now I have sneak peak into what life is like on menopause and I'm sharing my little treasures with you.
#1 - Hot flashes and Cold flashes. They're no joke my friends. But I find I welcome the hot flashes since I'm usually cold all the time anyway.
#2 - Weepyness. In the hospital the nurse was talking to me about my goals for the day (drink a pitcher of water, take a walk through the halls, get dressed, etc.) I started to weep uncontrollably. And I was like, "I don't know why I'm crying, it's not like I'm sad or anything." And the nurse was like, "Um, they messed with your hormones. You'll get used to it." Great.
#3 - More crying. I now cry for everything. Reading my scriptures, watching TV, seeing Sam, if someone doesn't say "hi" to me I cry.
#4 - Heart burn. Never had it before. What's up with that?
#5 - Loss of appetite. For everything but chocolate.
5 1/2 more months of this. Sweet!

I get heartburn when I'm pregnant, it's my 24 hour companion. I remember the first time. It was like, "What is this strange burning feeling around my heart area?" Poor you. Poor, poor, you.
